Hey Chaz, thanks for the information. The Swagman Exo Aero Rooftop Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs item # S65145 is 28" wide. It has a 100 lbs weight capacity. You will want to make sure your crossbars are spread out a minimum of 24" on your Subaru. So long as you can get that much space between your crossbars your Perception Outlaw kayak is going to fit great.
What kind of crossbars/roof rack setup do you have?
You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.

Thanks for the reply, Jerred. To answer your question, I have the factory installed Subaru roof rack with Subaru crossbars installed by the dealer when I purchased the Forester. To be clear to me as a newbie, the front and rear crossbars should have 24 inches between them, correct? Again I appreciate your response!
