Question:
Hi, I need to equip a 2015 RAM ProMaster 1500 van for towing with a 7 blade connector. Will this fit? I’ll also need a brake controller Redarc?. Thanks

Hey Rob, since your 2015 Ram Promaster 1500 doesn't have a 7-way currently that would indicate that it does not have the factory tow package and you would need to go a different route to install a 7-way and brake controller.
The first thing you would need is a 4-way with the part # 118618 which installs by plugging inline with the taillight connectors at the rear of your Promaster. Then to convert that to a 7-way you would also need the part # ETBC7 which comes with everything for that as well as wiring in a brake controller like the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty part # RED52VR.
What are you planning on towing?

Thanks, I’ll be towing a travel trailer about 4500lb. The VIN says it has “factory tow wiring” and it has a “tow/haul” button on the dash.
