When the load gets heavy, your truck shouldn't feel like it's fighting you. These air bags help you stay level, drive steady, and stay in control so you can tow with confidence and handle heavy loads without second-guessing your suspension.
Class C motorhomes ride heavy, especially when you're loaded up with water, gear, passengers, and all the comforts of home. Factory leaf springs often sag under the weight, leading to poor handling, rear-end squat, and excessive sway on uneven roads. Alpha HD Pro air springs add up to 5,000 lbs of rear axle support, helping your rig stay level and composed no matter how much you're carrying. That means more control in crosswinds, better braking on descents, and a flatter, more confident ride through the curves.
Bottoming out doesn't just feel rough, it can wreck your air bags. That's why this system includes jounce bumpers inside each bag, so even with no air pressure, your suspension has a built-in safety net. You can safely run at 0 psi when unloaded, which means no harsh rebound just that smooth, factory-style ride.
Not every trip loads the same. Sometimes you've got full water tanks and passengers aboard. Other times, you're traveling light. Pacbrake's air springs let you adjust your ride to match the moment, with air pressure from 5 to 100 psi. Just add air when you need extra firmness and support, or let some out for a smoother ride when you're empty. Manual inflation makes it easy to tune your suspension at the campsite or on the road—no onboard system required. It's a simple way to take control of your motorhome's handling, comfort, and stability.
Class C motorhomes rack up serious mileage and see it all—rough roads, weather swings, and back-to-back driving days. That's why Alpha HD Pro air springs are overbuilt for long-term use. The air bags are reinforced with 20 internal wires for strength and stability. One-inch thick end caps resist corrosion and daily wear. Heavy-duty roll plates and powder-coated brackets fend off rust and protect your investment over the long haul. Whether you're chasing warm weather or heading up into the mountains, this system is built to hold up through it all.
You shouldn't need to park your motorhome in a shop for days to get better suspension. Pacbrakes's air springs are designed for quick installation with no frame drilling or welding required. The laser-cut brackets bolt directly to factory mounting points on your vehicle, making this a job that experienced RV owners or mobile techs can handle in just a few hours. Manual inflation valves install through existing fastener holes or a location of your choice. With all brackets, fittings, and hardware included, this kit gets you back on the road with less downtime and more peace of mind.
This kit is designed to work with your setup today and wherever your upgrades take you tomorrow. You can inflate manually with standard air valves right out of the box, no extra parts needed. Already have an onboard compressor? The Alpha HD Pro system connects easily to most existing setups. Planning for an in-cab wireless controller down the road? No problem. The foundation is already built in, making it easy to expand your control options when you're ready.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Pacbrake Alpha HD Pro Rear Axle Double-Convoluted Airbag Suspension Kit with Internal Jounce Bumpers. Now, this kit has been designed to fit your 2015 and newer Ford E-Series Cutaway, the E-450, and then the 2008 to 2014 Ford Van E-450, and these are gonna be for your Class C motorhomes. And on custom-fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend taking advantage of our Vehicle Fit Guide here at etrailer.com. Simply input the year, make, and model of your vehicle, and our Fit Guide will confirm if this kit will work for you, or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, on my table, I do have the bags with the brackets, and just kind of loosely put together to kind of give you an idea of what this is going to look like.
But on your screen, I'm giving you a picture of all of the hardware that's going to come with these bags, so just so you have a clear view of everything that you're gonna get, instead of me trying to pack it on my table here. That's going to be all the hardware that you're going to get to get this installed into place. So, as you know, Class C motor homes do ride heavy, especially when you're loaded up with water, gear, passengers and all the comforts of home, so those factory leaf springs are gonna often sag under that weight, and that's gonna lead to poor handling, rear end squat and excessive sway on uneven roads. So, these airbags are going to add up to 5,000 pounds of rear axle support, and that's going to help you keep your rig level and composed no matter what you're carrying in your Class C motor home. So, that means that you'll be able to have more control in crosswinds, better braking on descents, and a flatter, more confident ride through the curbs.
But as you know, bottoming out doesn't just feel rough, it can actually wreck your airbags. That's why this system includes internal jounce bumpers inside of each of the bags, and so even with no air pressure, your suspension has a built-in safety net. So, on your screen there, I do have a cutaway of a bag just showing you where that jounce bumper is located. So, that jounce bumper is gonna let you be able to run safely at zero PSI when unloaded, which means no harsh rebound, just that smooth factory-style ride. Now, not every trip load is the same, not every trip rather loads the same.
Sometimes you have full water tanks and passengers aboard, other times you're traveling light, so these air springs are gonna let you adjust your ride to match the moment with air pressure from five to 100 PSI. You're just gonna add air when you need extra firmness and support, or let some air out for a smoother ride when you're empty. The manual inflation valves are gonna make it very easy to tune your suspension at the campsite or on the road with no onboard system required. It's gonna be a simple way to take control of your motorhome's handling, comfort and stability. Now, Class C motorhomes do rack up serious mileage and they see it all, whether it's rough roads, or weather swings or back-to-back driving days.
That's why these springs are overbuilt for long-term use. These airbags are reinforced with 20 internal wires for strength and stability. You can't see them, but there are one-inch-thick end caps, and that's gonna help resist the corrosion and daily wear, and then you do have these heavy-duty roll plates and powder-coated brackets. They're gonna fend off rust to protect your investment over the long haul. So, whether you're chasing the warm weather or heading up into the mountains, this system is built to hold up through it all. These precision laser-cut custom-fit brackets are designed bolt cleanly to your Class C motorhome's existing mounting points without welding or drilling into your frame, and this kit is designed to work with your setup today, and wherever your upgrades take you tomorrow. So, again, you can inflate manually with the standard air valves right outta the box, no extra parts are needed, but if you already have an onboard compressor, that's great. This is gonna connect easily to most existing setups. And then maybe you're planning for something like an in-cab wireless controller down the road. That's not gonna be a problem, 'cause what you're doing here is you're laying the foundation for upgrades down the road. So, this is gonna be very flexible with you, and depending on if you wanna upgrade or not. Now, as I mentioned, this is going to give you up to 5,000 pounds of load-leveling support, but be aware of the fact that these do not actually increase your weight-carrying capacity, so you wanna make sure that you're not exceeding your manufacturer's recommended weight limit. Now, if you do pick this kit up, we would love to hear back from you regarding your experience with getting things installed and using them, and you can share your experience with us by dropping a comment or leaving a review on this product page. If you have any other additional questions that I did not answer for you today, don't hesitate to give us a call. We wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
Easy to install and looks like it’s a high-quality product
haven't received or used it yet but pretty darn excited
The brackets are not built heavy enough
Easy install. Will pull trailer 3000 miles on vacation and see how it performs to Montana on highways and Forest Service roads.
good product , good strong solid metal parts and heavy bags. The instructions were not so hot but was easy to figure out and quick delivery !
Where to start I have 1500 pounds of tools in my 150 Chevy had them installed and it totally changed the ride and handling of the truck haven’t pulled anything yet but I’m amazed on how different the truck is already I Baught the ones with the bump stops in them the HD ones
I'm Vincent J,
My experience with loading my truck and seeing the difference with these air bags from PacBrake, it does look way better and the truck feels a bit more stable running atspeed limit (65mph) after that it does feels jumpy if you go over potholes, but overall I'm happy with the product, thanks Etrailer,
2020 Ram 1500.
Installation is fidgety with lining everything together for the upper bracket with u-bolt(reason for 4 stars), but still preferred over cutting the bump stop mounts off. Replaced the Timbrens with this and it is night and day difference in ride quality both unloaded and towing.
Would purchase again.
