Question:
I have the swagman bike rack two bike model with the swagman cover. The problem I’m having is the cover is so large it is covering my rear lights on my Brinkley 5th wheel. How and what light assembly can I purchase to allow for brake and turn sig to be seen? Looks like I may have to cut a hole in the cover to mount any type of of light assembly. Suggestion?

Hello Steve, thanks for reaching out. Our best option for adding a light kit to your Swagman bike rack would be the Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Lights # C53201. These attach to the bike rack using 3M adhesive, and they plug into a standard 4-flat trailer plug. There are no custom light kits for your Swagman bike rack, but a universal kit can definitely work. it can work with a ton of different bike rack models, and even with other hitch mounted accessories like cargo carriers.
You would just need to make sure the cover does not obstruct the lights. Or maybe get creative and like you said put holes in the cover or even come up with a way to attach the lights to the cover itself. It might be possible to secure the cover in a way where the lights are still visible.
Does your vehicle already have a 4-flat trailer plug? If not, let me know the year, make and model of your vehicle and I am happy to make a recommendation.

Hey Steve, how did things go with the Curt LED indicator lights on your Swagman bike rack and cover? Were you able to position them so your rear lights stay visible on the Brinkley? Your setup could really help others trying to solve the same issue.
