What are the dimensions of the Shadow and Boost Boxes for the Curt RVi Series Shadow 2 Flat Tow Brake System?

Hey Danny. I went and pulled the Curt RVi Series Shadow 2 Flat Tow Brake System item # RVI94FR from the warehouse and took some measurements. The Boost box measures 6" long x 5-1/2" wide x 2-3/4" tall. The Shadow 2 box which measures 4" long x 5-1/4" wide x 1-1/8" tall.

I took a box to simulate the booster box, which was approximately 1/8 inch shorter than 2-3/4 inches high. Upon fully closing the hood before securing the side hook, the box began to crush. I captured photographs, but unfortunately, I am unable to attach them here again. I am uncertain about how others are installing their compotes on the fuse boxes, unless their fuse boxes are of a different height. I have some time before purchasing in about a week or two and may consider the Curt RVi Series 4 Portable Flat Tow Brake System - Wireless Monitor - Proportional, as we are not full-time campers. I just add a Curt RVi Series Towed Battery Charger+ for Flat Towing. I appreciate all the feedback. Danny

@DannyL It definitely sounds like the Curt RVi Series Shadow 2 Flat Tow Brake System item # RVI94FR isn't going to work for you. The Curt RVi Series 4 Portable Flat Tow Brake System item # RVI44FR is going to be a solid backup plan though. Once you install the breakaway kit and get the app working it sets up and breaks down quicker than other portable systems. The Curt RVi Series Towed Battery Charger+ for Flat Towing item # RVI74FR is an interesting take on adding a charge line to your flat tow setup. Being able to monitor your towed vehicle's battery is a nice additional perk.
