Is There A Fixed Ball Mount That Offers 12 Inches Of Drop?

Updated 10/16/2025 | Published 10/13/2025

Question:

Hello a Google search says you have a 12-in . It might even say 12 and 1/2 in. But when I click on it, your inventory doesnt show any fixed hitch that goes that low. Do you sell one fixed 12-in or 12 and 1/2 in as what Google shows. I could send you a picture

Hi Martin!

I will admit to not knowing 100% what you mean, but the Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 10-3/4" Rise, 12" Drop - 7,000 lbs # AMSC12 you were looking at does indeed have 12" of drop. It's actually the only fixed option we currently carry that offers this much drop as well.

Out of curiosity, are you wanting this for a lifted truck? If so, what do you have?

Okay thank you for sending that link to your fixed hitch that has a 12-in drop. This was really an advertising problem. I saw an ad for your company that had a bunch of hitches. And it showed one with a 12-in drop. But when I clicked on the ad, it took me to your main inventory. It did not take me to the 12-in drop hitch. And then when I searched 12-in drop hitch, nothing came up. So I see now you do have one. I'm not sure why it didn't come up when I clicked on your advertisement, and it also did not come up when I searched your inventory. And just FYI. I don't understand why this is happening. It is very easy to find at 11-in drop. But not a 12-in drop. And it is actually very standard. We just have a stock 2500. And a stock landscape trailer. I'm sure there are millions of 2500 and 3,500 trucks out there. And millions of landscape trailers. But it lifts the trailer front too high. So it's tilted towards the back. It will not sit level with the 11-in drop. I don't understand why 12-in drop it isn't much more easy to find.

@MartinM Thanks for letting me know about that, I will bring it up to our marketing department. It should be a lot easier to find what you are looking for and are always open to feedback. It's the only way we can improve. : ) And I hear you about there being limited options. I think most people end up going with an adjustable option as they tend to have more capacity, but I can't say that for sure. Can I ask why you prefer the fixed ones over the adjustable ones?

@LazerS That's an easy one. Because the adjustables are like $400! Most of the 11-in drop are like 40 bucks or 50 bucks.

@Martin Well yeah, there is that. Just for giggles though, check out the one I have listed below. Yes it is more expensive, but it also comes with locks, 2" and 2-5/16" balls, has up to 12" of drop, has more capacity, and is aluminum so it will have significantly better corrosion resistance. Just something to consider. Trimax Adjustable Ball Mount w Receiver Lock - 12" Drop - Dual Ball - Keyed Alike - Aluminum # TMX24QR But anyway, let me know if there is anything else I can help with! : )
