When your trailer sits way higher or lower than the tow vehicle, getting it level is key to keeping things stable. Wasn't sure this was what I needed but this hitch worked great. Seems to be well made. Truck has 40 inch tires and 11 inch lift and now i can pull camper and a small trailer without putting the smaller tires back on.
I needed this 12 inch drop ball mount to accommodate my tow dolly on the back of my Winnebago motor home.
Once again, service through etrailer is always great.
It's the only 12" drop hitch I could find anywhere. I didn't need the polymer vibration absorption feature (which basically doubles the price from a standard drop hitch), but I needed this for a specific application, so I had to shell out the extra money for it. Seems very well made and strong. Time will tell!
This extreme rise ball mount is what I need to make my passenger car into a back-up trailer puller. It is well built and has a welded strut to reinforce the long rise/drop ball mount. The "shock damper" feature is sure to help absorb the leverage movement that a rise/drop ball mount passes on to the hitch receiver itself.

Tow infrequently; got new(to us) 2015 RAM 2500 pick up to tow our 38’ touring travel trailer. Have a HD WD hitch & adjustable sway control hitch set up we use for this trailer, but needed a drop hitch for our smaller Travel trailer& misc use haul trailer,,,,both much lighter & do not require the sway control set up. This drop hitch & ball fit the bill perfectly as the needed drop did not provide suffice t ground clearances to utilize the WD hitch mount setup (which was not needed) for those smaller loads. E-trailer worked w us to get the product we needed & an option that was inexpenve but sufficiently rated to pull our smaller trailers! Very happy our results !

Wow. Product shipped same day, regular ground, but arrived only 2 days later. Had the cushion feature on it that I hadn't even noticed or expected. Not that many non-adjustable option for a 12” drop and this one is the best! Love the cushion and it’s very strong. I put that to the test today when I got rear ended with it in the back of my truck. This thing saved the back of my Ram. Came right back to etrailer and ordered a new one!
The hitch appears to be made very well and heavy duty. I haven't had a chance to tow with it yet, but this was the only company I could find that carried a 12 inch drop down in stock. I had two other companies cancel my order because the 12 inch drop was no longer available through them. Excellent price also.
Great looking drop hitch and unbelievably fast shipping. Works great on my 2012 dodge diesel with 6" lift and 37" tires. The 10,000 lb. rating is the highest I could find with this much drop not to mention about half the cost of any other hitch I found. Customer service and shipping verification follow up is second to none. I'll be buying from them from now on.

Seems to be a quality ball mount. Just what I needed to get the ball lower to tow my trailer. With this, now the top of the ball is at 16" where it needs to be. Custom built receiver on my old moving box van. Just need to weld on safety chain slots and paint it. Can't drop the lift gate with the receiver in (its pinned on both sides), but hey....I can tow now.
Looks good but haven’t towed with it yet. Price was a little higher after conversation and shipping but looks like a decent product. My truck is a dodge 3500 with a 6” long arm lift on 37” tires and this 12” looks like it will be perfect for my cargo and utility trailer’s. Other note it was a little loose in my 2” hitch so I added a receiver clamp to stop rattle.
Exactly what I needed. This fits on my front receiver, which is hidden at the bottom of my grill. I needed the extended drop to keep the trailer level when manouvering. The hitch is of good quality. I’ve only used it at very low speeds. Works for me.
Looks to be a well built hitch there's virtually no other 12" drop hitches short of expensive adjustable ones it's just about right for my custom bumper

Big drop ball mounts are becoming harder and harder to find. But more importantly, you mention your custom bumper, I don't think I've ever seen one like that. I need to know the story behind it.
This is a ball hitch mount that is not a standard unit, problem I had I purchased a new p/u going from a 2500 series which stood higher to a 1500 series standing lower by 4" also lowering 3 1/2" towing a 4800 pound boat as we all know, needing to tow level, that wasn't going to happen, this ball mount did the trick, fits D.O.T. standards also more than what i needed for weight requirements

Ball mount achieved the goal for my height requirements, what I didnt explain the piston action in the ball mount, it does cushion the back and fourth while towing considerably if and when I will buy one with it, also you got it to me in two days great device l
