Question:

The lock core mechanism on the Yakima 78 trailer has two partsthe lock core itself and the piece it fits into. These two parts detached from each other and will no longer hold together so the lock doesnt function. Ive found the lock core and new keys on your etrailer site, but I need the piece the lock core fits into, and I cant find it. Where can I get that piece?

For your Yakima Rack And Roll 78" trailer # Y08107 you will want to use Replacement Tail Block Locking Assembly for Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer 2015 and Newer - Qty 1 # 8880334 and then the Replacement Lock Core and Keys for Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer - Key S305 # 8880551. This is the correct setup for your trailer that will allow you to use the locking function again!

Andrew, I have a 2014 Rack and Roll trailer. I just bought 3 replacement locks, because the previous owner didn't have the keys. I received the locks but I don't have the tail blocking locking assembly. What is the part number for this part? And can I order them from etrailer.

@ClarenceW Good morning Clarence, I have a solution but it's not the most ideal. Unfortunately the Replacement Tail Block Locking Assembly # 8880334 from Yakima is only for 2015 and newer Rack And Roll trailers, so in your case the only option is to replace the frame section with Replacement Center Frame Rail # 8880727. The issue is that the pre 2014 trailers have a different size frame thickness which is why the replacement tail block won't work :(. Sorry about that!
