Will Replacement MaxxFan Plus 4-Speed Roof Vent Hold Up to Highway Speeds
Updated 10/07/2025 | Published 10/06/2025 >
Question:
Will the lid on this unit hold up to interstate speeds and not be pulled open from vacuum and break off? My trailer had 2 vents with fans and both in different locations did the same thing on one trip after another. The ones that failed were the regular vents with the knob you turn to open. My trailer is brand new, and will you warranty this unit if the same thing happens.

Hey John, as long as you install the Replacement MaxxFan Plus 4-Speed Roof Vent with White Lid # MA00-04751KSX properly and have the lid open facing the rear of the trailer this would easily handle highway speeds without getting blown off. By chance is there a vent elsewhere on the trailer that is open and creating pressure in the trailer?

No their is no other vents on the trailer. The only air that gets in is around the rear and side door seals. It is a 36x8 race trailer that we converted to a camper toy hauler.
