Hey Vernan! Since your Coleman-Mach AC is a 48000 series you need the Soft Start Kit for Coleman-Mach RV Air Conditioners # CM56RR. This is specifically designed to fit Coleman-Mach Series 45000, 47000, and 48000 air conditioners like yours.

When you go to install read the directions completely. It does require you to cut some wires and that may seem intimidating until you understand why you do it. Simply adding the soft start has to bypass what is already on there and tie into the soft start. Hope this helps.

@James - I don’t have a black wire that comes off my compressor. But I do have purple that comes off the compressor and goes to the pin connector. Is that the one that needs to be cut and spliced into with the black from the soft start?

@ChadS. I would ask e-trailer. Black and blue are completely different and I really think you have a blue one but ,maybe hidden. On mine the blue is the hot one.
