Question:

If my dump trailer is rated for 20K, is the WS97WR too close to the limit, or is that safe? 2.5 inch receiver on my Duramax.

Hunter, the Weigh Safe Pintle Hitch 8" drop # WS97WR is rated to 22,000 lbs GTW, so your 20K rated trailer is within limits - just make sure your truck and receiver are rated high enough too. With that much weight, the built-in scale is a big advantage to confirm you’ve got proper tongue weight before rolling out. I do recommend weighing your trailer to make sure when fully loaded, it doesn't exceed the weight rating of this hitch.
