Question:

I need to know the total height of the vertical metal portion of the adjustable ball mount. - Please take a measurement from the lowest portion of the vertical piece up to the bottom portion of the metal tubing. Horizontal piece 2 1/2 x x2 1/2. This measurement is not from the rotating ball, but rather the piece it attaches to I am aware of the 7inch drop. But this is not the actual physical measurement need for driveway clearance. I need to know how much clearance I will have so I will not bottom out the hitch as I go up my steep driveway.

I took a measurement of the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS20049C and found from the base to the bottom of the receiver it measured about 8-1/4 inches while the overall vertical measurement was about 11 inches. I have made a photo for you displaying these measurements.

This 3-Ball Mount, which is Chrome but also available in Black at part # BWTS20049B, fits 2-1/2 inch trailer hitches and has a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball (3,500 lb capacity), 2 inch hitch ball (7,500 lb capacity) or 2-5/16 inch hitch ball (18,000 lb capacity).

The ball mount is constructed out of steel, made in the USA and comes with a lifetime warranty. I highly recommend using the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # C23025 to secure the mount to your hitch and help protect your investment.
