Question:

Is the SHP2040-XL pin compatible with the WS68RR hitch? And will it maintain the 22,000 lbs gtw rating?

Hello Justin, thanks for reaching out. The XL Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # SHP2040-XL is NOT compatible with the Weigh Safe Hitch w/ Built-In Scale # WS68RR. The receiver lock requires a hollow shank and the shank of the Weigh Safe ball mount is solid, so there would be no way to use the lock. You will want to use the receiver lock that comes with the ball mount. If you wish to add an anti-rattle device, the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches # RM-062 is what I recommend. Use of the locking pin and anti-rattle device will not change the 22K GTW rating.

Hey Justin, how did things go with the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch on your Weigh Safe hitch setup? Your update could make it easier for the next person trying to reduce rattle while keeping that 22K rating.
