Question:
Hi, Im trying to put a hitch on my new 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid. There arent many of these on the road yet. As best as I can tell the EcoHitch EH87CR will fit. Im not sure either of the available wiring harnesses will work though. The tail/brake lights are a user-replaceable LR4B LED with a 3-pin connector see on amazon LBAXSXP-81536-15120 that does not appear to match the connectors on either of the available harnesses assuming the web photos are correct. Do I need to wait for a new part to come out, or do you have something that will work? Thanks! Mark

Hey Mark! The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH87CR will fit your 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid. However, we cannot confirm fitment of a wiring harness at this time.
What you're referencing is just the bulbs. You actually remove the entire tail light assembly to get to the connectors for the # C55ZV, see the attached photo. This wiring harness fits the 2025 with LED lights, the # C39DR you were looking at is for incandescent. Regardless, without a vehicle to test this on I can't say for sure if it will work or not and Curt hasn't tested it yet either.
If you want to test it out yourself you can, or you can use a universal wiring harness like # 119250KIT which clamps onto your wires and fits any vehicle. Outside of that, we won't know until Curt gets an update or someone brings one in for us to try out the installation and confirm fitment.
What will you be using the hitch for?

Thanks! I removed the driver side tail light assembly to look at the connectors. The turn signal is an incandescent with a connector that looks like it matches the non-LED version. The tail/brake light is an LED with a 3-pin connector that doesn't look like it matches either version - both of them appear to have a square 4-pin plug for the three-wire connection. That universal version you linked looks pretty awesome though - using current transducer clamps to detect the signal without actually cutting or splicing into vehicle wiring. I didn't know those existed, and I think I'll probably go that route. I've got a small utility trailer that I've had since 2008 and pulled with my Subarus and more recently with a Tacoma. I need it to move appliances, straw bales, beehives, and various other things that I either don't want to put inside my new vehicle or that don't fit.
