Question:
Can this hitch be installed on a 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid without removing the rear bumper and rear taillights? It is a bolt-on assembly that a person could do with basic tools?

Hey Paul,
The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH87CR would not require you to remove the rear bumper or tail lights and would be a bolt-on installation. It does require you to notch out a hole in the rear fascia for the receiver tube to stick out. This can mostly be done with basic tools but you'll want a razor blade scraper to remove some sealer from the frame and you'll also need a torque wrench # PT87ZR to torque down the mounting hardware.
If you plan on towing a trailer or adding lights to a bike rack or cargo carrier then you'll want the Tekonsha # TK24CR (LED tail lights) or # TK25VR (non-LED tail lights). These harnesses would require you to pop out the tail lights and have t-connectors that you'll just plug in-line with the factory tail light wiring. You would also need to run a power wire from the harness up to the battery, routing it away from any moving parts or ones that generate heat.
