Question:
Is the Hopkins 4 flat converter, part no. 48847 compatible with using on my 2004 volvo s60?

Hey Albert. The Hopkins pn 48847 corresponds to our Hopkins Tail Light Converter - LED Compatible item # HM48847, which is universal and used to separate brake and turn signal systems to a trailer's combined wiring setup. It doesn't have a 4-way connector.
To add a 4-way connector to your 2004 Volvo S60 you'll need the Hopkins Active Tail Light Converter with Install Kit item # 46255. The built in converter will do the same job as the item # HM48847. This harness is universal and has to be spliced into your Volvo's wiring. I do not have a plug in option or see one available from our vendors.
What kind of trailer do you have?
