Hello Frank,

Great question, and to be honest, it took me a minute to figure it out too.

Both options will work perfectly for your 2019 Toyota Tacoma, as they each include the correct vehicle-specific pigtail for a very simple install.

The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Custom Harness - Dash Knob - Up to 2 Axles - Proportional # RED72CR includes 3 different mounting panels for the factory knockouts on your dash, making installation even easier. The # RED68CR does not come with these mounting panels, so it will require drilling a hole in your dash for the knob installation.

I attached an image with a rectangle around the mounting panels that come with the # RED72CR. The Redarc is a fantastic brake controller, you won’t be disappointed!

What are you looking to tow with your Tacoma?

Hey Frank, Did you decide which brake controller to go with for your Tacoma? I'm curious if the mounting panels with the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty made the installation easier for you. Your experience could really help others make their choice!
