Will the etrailer Spare Tire Mount for Hitch Work w/a 8 Lug Wheel?

Question:
I have a 225/75/16 tire with an 8 on 6.5 lug pattern. In other Q&A answers, some of your colleagues say the carrier will only accommodate up to an 8 on 6.0 pattern. I hope you can clarify this issue. Can't move forward until I'm sure. Thanks!

Yes, it will Scott. The etrailer Spare Tire Mount for Hitch item # e98ZR definitely works with 8 lug wheels. We've had customers send in quite a few reviews and pics with 8 on 6-1/2 lug wheels on this spare tire carrier. I have attached one of them below.
