Wiring Harness for 2023 Mazda MX-5 Miata

Question:

I have a 2023 Mx-5. I want a wiring harness that doesnt require running a line to the battery. I had one on my 2009 Miata. Is there one available? Thank you!

Hi Phil; the only way a trailer wiring harness avoids running a line to the battery is if the vehicle has a factory tow port already. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56300 you ordered will plug into the connection points in the rear cargo area of your 2023 MX-5 but, you will still have to run the hot lead up to the vehicle battery.

Is this for an accessory or are you towing some kind of small trailer?

Towing a small kayak trailer. It's a bit of a hassle to feed the line up to the battery but not a deal breaker!

@Phil I understand. It would be nice if it could be avoided but unless you have a factory tow port for wiring it is necessary to protect your electrical system.
