Will Trailer Wiring for 2016 Mazda CX-3 Drain Battery if Not Connected to Trailer

Question:
Hello I was looking to install this in a 2016 Mazda CX-3 Grand Touring. I was wondering could this potentially drain the vehicle battery even if it’s not in use? I read in some forums that some people with trailer light kits have experience this concern. Thanks

As long as there isn't anything connected to the trailer wiring kit part # C56300 it will not draw anything from the battery and drain it.
