What Size Latch Kit For 6 Foot Tall Ramp Door On 7x14 Enclosed Trailer?

I’ve got a 7x14 enclosed trailer and the rear ramp door is around 6 feet tall. Would the 71inch latch be the right one for it?

Chris, you’re spot on. The 71inch version # M363FR is built for doors in that 6’ range. It gives you a rod that runs nearly the full height so the cam ends lock securely into the top and bottom keepers. That’s going to keep the ramp door from flexing or rattling on the highway.

Are you planning to replace just the rear latch, or do you have side doors that need refreshing too?

And for other folks with 7x14s, which latch length worked best on your rigs?

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
