Mark, if you’re comfortable routing cables, working in the engine bay, and drilling through the firewall, then yes, this is definitely DIY-friendly for the mechanically inclined. The Shadow 2 # RVi94FR is designed with plug-and-play connectors, no soldering or splicing, and straightforward mounting instructions. That said, the full install will likely take an afternoon to do, especially the routing of the brake cable and tying into the vacuum line if your vehicle has one. You’ll also want a helper for testing the brake lights and system pressure during setup.

I've linked the instructions for you to check out. Are you comfortable drilling a 5.-/16" hole in the firewall of your vehicle? It sounds scary but it's really not. Let me know if you want an alternative option Mark, such as the portable version # RVI44FR that does not require drilling holes or much setup at all.
