Can MORryde WDH Storage Rack Stay On Trailer's Frame While Towing?

Updated 08/15/2025 | Published 07/31/2025

Question:

Can I drive with the bars in this bracket? I don’t want to take them off every time. 2011 F250 towing travel trailer with Equalizer Hitch.

Shannon, I wouldn’t recommend that. This # MR72ZV bracket isn’t bolted through the frame, it’s just held in place by the weight of the bracket. A 1/2" set screw can be added if wanting a more secure fit. It works great for storing your spring bars and wdh shank while parked, but it can shift during travel. It’s best to remove it before you hit the road.

If you want a more permanent solution, Id look at the MORryde EzStor - Bolt-On Storage Bracket for WDH # MR62ZV. This doesn't need to be removed when hitting the road. That said, you still don't want to leave the WDH in the bracket while towing (obviously you'd be using the WDH when towing anyways).

What trailer do you pull with your F250?

Hey Shannon, did you decide to try the bolt-on storage bracket for your hitch? I'm curious if it provided the more secure fit you were looking for. Let me know, as it could help others in a similar situation!
