How Sturdy And Secure Is MORryde No-Drill WDH Storage Bracket For Trailer A-Frames?

Updated 08/15/2025 | Published 07/31/2025

Question:

I like that this doesn’t require drilling. How secure is it while parked? Wondering if it is wobbly and easy to steal.

Jeff, it’s more solid than you’d expect for a no-drill bracket. The # MR72ZV is sturdy and has a bit of weight, especially once the weight distribution hitch and bars are added. Nobody will be lifting that off the trailer's frame all in one go.

If you wish to, you can add a 1/2" set screw to the bracket to hold it snug without shifting. Just keep in mind, it’s meant for parked use only, not for towing (even after adding set screw).

For even more security, you can lock the WDH shank to the bracket/trailer frame by using something like etrailer Hitch Receiver Lock # e98881. Let me know what you think!

Hey Jeff, how did the bracket hold up for you while parked? I'm curious to know if the extra security measures, like the set screw or hitch lock, worked well for you. Your experience could really help others in similar situations!
