Replacement Hub and Drum for 3,500 lb Axle With 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern

Updated 07/26/2025 | Published 07/24/2025

Question:

Looking to replace a boat trailer hub. It is 10inch 5 lug 4.5 inch 3.5k trailer. I see you guys have a few ones that fit but they don’t have a hole where I can adjust the brakes with the star adjuster. I have a photo.

Hi Sen; that is correct, none of our replacement hub and drum assemblies like the Dexter # 84546UC3-EZ you looked at have a hole in them for brake adjustment. The brakes will need to be adjusted on the back side of the brake assemblies through that access hole with an adjuster tool. If you're replacing brakes as well I do recommend getting self-adjusting brakes like # AKEBRK-35-SA so you don't have to worry about keeping up with brake adjustments.

Any big plan with your boat this summer?
