Question:
I have been looking for a brush guard for my truck. Being told there is not one made that will fit my truck without setting off the sensors in the front. It’s a 2017 GMC 2500 DENALI. Is this true ? Not one manufacturer make a modified brush guard ?? Thanks.

Hello Chad,
They don’t currently offer a modified brush guard that accounts for the sensors, but there is a sensor relocation kit available.
The Westin HDX Grille Guard with Punch Plate – Polished Stainless Steel # 57-3790 is a great fit for your 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali. To retain the functionality of your parking sensors, you’ll want to pair it with the Parking Sensor Relocation Kit for Westin Sportsman Grille Guard # 40-0005S, or if you’re going for a stainless finish, # 45-0000S. I’ve attached an image showing an installed example.
Aftermarket manufacturers would have to constantly redesign their products to keep up with all the new sensors added to vehicles each year, it’s honestly impressive we ever drove or parked without them!
Are you planning to do any overlanding or trail driving? Or do you regularly drive in areas with deer, wildlife... maybe even kangaroos? (Okay, maybe not kangaroos, especially since we don’t ship to Australia).
