Question:
I have 1986 Toyota mini cruiser RV, similar to toyota dolphin. Looking to refurbish the windows. Do you have the seals? Also how should I bent the seals around round corners so the seals dont wave or crack or bend inwards? Should I heat them with heat gun? What temp or setting? My old gaskets have some still soft black tar looking substance between a tampered glass and aluminum frame and between gasket and the glass. Any ideas what it could be? It didnt dry in at least 4 days since my window is disassembled. Should I use 3M Black Super Weatherstrip and Gasket Adhesive, 08008? Thank you.

The most common window edge weather stripping, sometimes referred to as window glazing, for RV's is either # SR43FR at 1/2" x 1/4" or # SR63FR at 3/4" x 5/16". I suggest that you pull the end up on a section you currently have installed and examine it against the image shown on the product pages. If you happen to have something different, let me know but it is most likely one of these two will meet your needs.
This is a press in installation, it is not intended to be installed with an adhesive. It is best for this to be pliable for easiest installation but achieve this by simply letting set in warm sunshine for a period of time prior to installation instead of possible overheating and melting by use of a heat gun. Installation is accomplished by simply pushing the seal into place. Whenever I have installed a seal of this type I simply use thumb pressure for most of it, but when I need added pressure of a tool to manipulate a point, I use the a piece of scrap wood with end rounded off with sand paper. Some will use the handle end of a wooden spoon. Be cautious of using metal tools or something that will cut into the rubber seal.
