Looking For A Replacement Propane Gas Detector For My Older Model Pop Up

Question:

I have an old model 7770.2 propane gas leak detector and I wanted to know if this model can replace it. The old model is being use on a pop-up trailer to detect gas leaks. It went bad last week and looking to replace it.

Hey Carlos,

The RV Safe Propane Gas Detector # RS64FR will be a good replacement for you. It is not a direct replacement for your older model so the biggest thing you want to make sure of is where it mounts. It has 2 mounting brackets for a larger or smaller application, since it wont be the exact same size as yours that is something to keep in mind.

Small Bracket : 5-3/4" x 4-1/4"
Large Bracket : 7-1/4" x 3-3/8"

Besides the overall size, this will be a great replacement for you. What kind of trailer do you have this in?

We have a 2004 forest river shamrock hybrid. I think having the two brackets to pick from will do the job. Thank you for the information and for replying back. Thanks, Carlos
