Hey Richard, to flat tow your 2013 Jeep Wrangler you will need a base plate kit to start. You can go with the Blue Ox part # BX1126 or the Roadmaster part # RM-521448-4. Personally I like the Blue Ox base plates as they are the easiest to use but Roadmaster is a solid option.

For a Blue Ox tow bar you'd want the part # BX7420 or for Roadmaster part # RM-520.

For lighting you can use the diode kit, # RM-15267, and not have to worry about cutting into the taillight housing. This will splice into your taillight wiring to allow your tow vehicle to control the taillight assemblies of the towed vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV. Or for a simpler plug and play option we also have the Hopkins part # HM56200. It might seem odd but I like the Roadmaster as it's more reliable but the Hopkins is super easy.

For braking you have the option of a kit that you have to put in the floor boards of your Jeep everytime you use with the Blue Ox Patriot or the # BLU37TR or for a more permanent install that will be easier to use once installed the Demco Stay In Play part # SM99251.

Hey Rich, did you get everything set up to flat tow your Jeep Wrangler? I'm curious to know if you found the Blue Ox or Roadmaster options worked better for you. Let me know how it went, as it could really help others in a similar situation!
