Can Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner Be Installed On A Bus Or Sprinter Van?

Question:
Why is this unit not appropriate for a trailer or bus? Would it be OK to put in the cargo area of a box truck or on a sprinter type cargo van?

Hello Jonathan, thanks for reaching out. The Furrion Chill Cube AC is not approved for school buses, food trucks, enclosed/utility trailers, or off-roading vehicles. This is because Furrion does not approve these application under their warranty. This is mainly because the AC unit requires a specific roof thickness, and the roof must be reinforced and strong enough to hold an AC unit.
It is fine to install on a camper, trailer. Sprinter vans are fine too as long as the roof is prepped for an AC unit. The roof must be between 3-1/2" and 6" thick, and must have a 14-1/4" long x 14-1/4" wide opening.
The AC unit can technically still be installed on a bus or enclosed trailer, it just would not be covered under warranty. Campers and sprinter vans are covered under warranty.
