Hi, I have a very old version of the Chariot Chariot Carriers manufactured in Dec 1996 before the company was purchased by Thule. Im trying to figure out which replacement hitch ball assembly would fit best. Is there any real difference in the ball and rod dimensions and hole placement of TH96TH vs TH59AH? Can you please provide the dimensions of the rod either way?

Hey Marie, they do look the same, but Thule and us here at etrailer are only able to confirm fitment with the Replacement Chariot Hitch Ball Assembly for Thule Cross, Lite, and Sport Bike Trailer/Stroller # TH96TH, so I'd just stick with that. It is for the older Chariot models like what you have.
What happened to the original one? Did it get damaged or just lost?

For the original part, the ball broke off from the rod (basically the part broke in half). Based on some other reviews, this looks like what we need. Thanks! Marie
