Is There Downside to Replacing RV Propane Detector with Propane/Carbon Monoxide Detector
Updated 09/02/2025 | Published 06/16/2025 >
Question:
I have a safe-t-alert model 20-441-p propane detector that needs replacing. Any reason not to replace it with a combo co2/propane detector or should I stay with propane only?

Hey Carlos, there's no reason you couldn't go with a propane and carbon monoxide detector like the part # RS54FR to replace just your propane detector. There's really no downside to having a way to monitor if there's a carbon monoxide leak as well.
