Having a propane gas leak in your RV is a scary situation that you don't want to even think about let alone experience. But this detector will give you peace of mind knowing that if there are dangerous levels of propane, it'll quickly and accurately warn you and your family so you can get out of the RV and into fresh air.
When propane gas is detected, the red LED will come on, and the horn will be constant. And because the sensor is highly selective, it's designed to only sound the alarm for lethal propane gas, reducing the number of false alarms that occur in non-threatening scenarios.
It'll also alert you when the battery is low or when the detector has reached the end of its life and needs to be replaced, so you never have to be without protection.
To double check that the detector is operating normally, you can easily use the button on the front to test the propane sensor and battery voltage. You should test your detector every time it's taken out of storage and before it's taken out for each camping trip. This button also lets you silence the horn up to 5 minutes during non-life-threatening situations. So, you can turn off that annoying racket in the middle of the night while you're trying to hunt for a new battery.
The 2 included universal mounting brackets allow this detector to replace 90 percent of all OEM surface-mount and flush-mount detectors. This detector can replace most Atwood and Dometic branded detectors, as well as Safe-T-Alert 20 series, 25 series, 30 series, 35 series, 40 series, 45 series, and 65 series detectors.
Because propane gas is heavier than air, it'll settle near the floor, so this detector should be installed 4" to 18" from the floor to accurately detect the presence of gas. Also make sure that the detector is located in an area that isn't near a window or door, behind furniture or drapes, or in a closet. It also shouldn't be installed with 24" near a stove, oven, fridge, or furnace.

I changed the expired propane detector in my Airstream for this one. Not a drop-in replacement but fits nicely rotated 1/4 turn and using the small bracket.

It came quickly and I installed it. The documentation is a little confusing. As soon as I applied power, the green lamp started flashing. That could mean low voltage according to the words on the front panel. My old LP gas detector would flash green until it booted up and then go to steady green, I think this one works the same way

The old one expired and alarmed frequently so it was removed, then the heater stopped working. Replaced an Atwood 2 wire with this and the heater works again. No more alarms.
Easy to install since it included 2 size covers. Wiring the device was easy. Green light is on and test worked good. Shipping was good and it arrived very quickly. eTrailer is the best.
We have not installed the detector yet. Our 2018 Flying Cloud has the Atwood brand as originally installed and as yet we haven’t seen a yellow light. Our intention is to install it in the next week or so.

Direct replacement for expired original. Easy to install. Multiple mounting brackets.
Exactly what I needed to replace the expired Atwood RV Propane detection unit in our Airstream Globetrotter which lasted about 6 years. Installation was simple, I had to drill four new holes for the RV Solutions unit and mounting bracket but it covered the hole from the original Atwood installation and the new unit is more securely attached. Be sure to read instructions regarding the light, it flashes for about three minutes as it “warms up”, then it’ll go solid.

This product replaced one in an older horse Living Quarters trailer. I liked the design of the mounting plate as it covered everything from the old unit--screw holes, faded finish, etc., and I didn't have to modify the hole The wiring was easy and it worked first time. The only time it has gone off was when I was trouble shooting a thermostat. I was pleased that it did to confirm all was good. Thanks again e-Trailer, for having what I needed when I needed it!
