What Roof Rack do I Want for the Mounting Points on My Roof on My 2025 Mazda CX-5?

Updated 06/30/2025 | Published 06/08/2025

Question:

Do you have cross bars that fit a 2025 Mazda cx-5 without the side rails? I don’t want the clamp on style. I am looking for some that bolt to where the side rails would attach. It would be nice if the cross bars extended out some also because it makes it easier to load a canoe.

Hello Paul,

Congrats on the New 2025 Mazda CX-5! What is your favorite new feature?

I have the perfect rack for you, it fits into your mounting points on your roof, and will have a little bit of an overhang.

You will want the Thule WingBar Evo Roof Rack for Fixed Mounting Points - Aluminum - Black - Qty 2 # TH23GA

I am not sure on what kind of Canoe carrier you have, or if you do have one, I get a lot of great feedback on the Swagman Exo Aero Rooftop Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs - Saddle Style # S65145. I just had a great review last week on how easy it was to load their canoe using the saddle style.

Do do you have a favorite lake or river you like to go out on? My son goes to a camp up North where they get to go on these super awesome canoe trips with all their gear for weeks at a time, they even travel up to Canada, he loves it there!

Sorry about my slow response. We usually haul a canoe upside down on the roof racks and that’s about it. Any chance you offer something cheaper and with a square tube? We have a square tube one on our 2013 mazda 3 and it has been great.

@Paul We most definitely do Paul! You will want the Inno Square Bar Roof Rack for Naked Roofs - Steel - Black - Qty 2 # IN65XR. This roof rack will install through your door jams not the fixed mounting points like the one above. This one is definitely more friendly on the pocket book as well =)
