Thanks for sharing your experience! Install times can definitely vary depending on the vehicle’s age, rust, tools, and experience like you mentioned. Having replacement hardware handy if you’re dealing with rust and road salt is for sure a good idea when installing a hitch. Glad the videos helped and the hitch is working great for your bikes!

You mentioned that you were experiencing rattling with the exhaust rubbing against the hitch. This happens from time to time and we have a great FAQ on how to eliminate the rattle which you can see in the link below.

Thank you for pointing me to your FAQ on how to address exhaust rattles. I will ask my mechanic to try longer rubber isolators as that would be a better solution than grinding away material. If I can correct my rattle through solutions identified in your FAQ I will update my rating on your website if that is possible.

after purchasing some muffler hanger extensions and having them installed, my Curt trailer hitch has not had any more problems with clanging or rattling. Ive been extremely happy with the trailer hitch over the last year.

The hitch has been working out great. No loosening, no squeaking. Holds my mtn bike and road bike as it should. Im happy with the purchase. Bought a rubber cap for it when the bike rack is not attached. Would highly recommend this company and this product.
