Hello Jeff,

When installing the Replacement Base Legs for Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16920 for the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs # C16120 the 14mm pilot hex bolts get torqued to 100 foot pounds. I attached an image from the instructions where they mention this.

I attached the instructions to the A16 as well, there is a lot of routine maintenance that is suggested. Thought you might like to have the check list to keep everything in tip top shape.

What kind of 5th wheel are you pulling? Any big adventures planned for the summer?

Thanks, i originally did 60 so will update I switched out my slider curt slider. Pulling a 2021 Cougar 1/2 ton 32. BHS with 2021 GMC Sierra 2500 HD. The slider was never used and quite honestly was starting to chuck back and forth. The rollers had flattened and caused a settled place on metal supports. I was still very happy but felt like too much. Replacing was a good deal. Have 3000 mile trip from WV to SD and returning through ND. Daughter is competing at Nationals in Rapid City next week in USTA. The old hitch went to Maine and Florida a couple times as well as numerous trips to Tennessee.

@JeffS I don't blame you on getting rid of the the clucky slider since you didn't need to use it, they are a bit noisier. Good luck to your daughter next week! Sounds like quite the nice little trip to go watch her compete.
