Video Transcript for Curt OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch Legs for Ford Super Duty Towing Prep Package Review

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the CURT OEM fifth wheel hitch legs for your Ford Super Duty towing prep package. These have a 30,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, these are a custom fit part. They are designed to fit the 2011 and newer Ford Super Duty trucks that have the factory installed under bed towing prep package.

These legs are designed to work with the CURT PowerRide hitch head, which we do sell separately on our website. That part number is C56WR. And I wanna pop up an insert to show you. There's the hitch head, and as you can see, that's designed to drop right in the middle here and bolt into place. Now, this custom base is specifically designed to attach to the receivers in your Ford truck's factory installed under bed fifth wheel towing prep package.

It uses a quarter turn anchoring system for quick installation and removal. And I did wanna zoom in so we could demonstrate that. And you'll do this on each corner when you go to install it. So basically, what you'll do is first pop off this safety pin right in the middle here. Once you get that safety pin out, the quarter turn is this part here.

You just quarter turn these handles and you'll do the two on the other side also. And what that does is it rotates the tab down here into the open position. So now with the handles open, that'll allow you to drop your fifth wheel right into that under bed system. Once it drops into place, you rotate these back, which will rotate the tab and lock it into the system and then put your pin back through and then clip it. And now, it's locked into place.

And as I said, you'll do what you're doing over here, you'll do also on the other side. And these anchors, if you notice the nuts right up here, has the cotter pins in 'em. You can take those cotter pins out and actually adjust to eliminate any movement between the legs and the under bed rails when you install it. Now, these parts are co cured in a rust resistant liquid A coat. And as you can see, they're protected by a nice durable battleship gray powder coat finish. And as we mentioned, this has a gross towing weight capacity of 30,000 pounds. But that's gonna do it for a look at the CURT OEM fifth wheel hitch legs for your Ford Super Duty towing prep package.
