If Running Boards are Installed at the Jacking Points on Sprinter, How Would I Change a Tire?

Question:
I watched you video installing the Aries RidgeStep 96 for the Promaster 136 WB, why does it use the Jack Up points that the Promaster has under the chasis for the first bracket mounting points? If you have this installed like that, how do you ever go about jacking up the Promaster on either the Drivers and Passenger side in the front? This is my only concern about this method of no-drill installation. Are there other jacking points for the front in case we get a flat? Thanks,

Hello Tom,
Great question. The Aries RidgeStep Running Boards w/ Custom Installation Kit # AA2055539 is designed for the Promaster 2500 and 3500 models, it is not listed to fit your 2021 Promaster 1500.
The closest thing we have to the style you were looking at is the Romik Connect RPD-C Running Boards w/ Custom Install Kit - 6" Wide - Black - Aluminum # RMK68FR for the ProMaster 1500 with 136" wheelbase. I reached out to my contact at Romik to ask where they install, they also install at the jacking points, he stated that a lot of his customers upgrade to bottle jacks like the Powerbuilt Unijack Bottle Jack with Built-In Jack Stand - 21" Lift - 6,000 lbs # ALL620471 when they upgrade to running boards.
* Crossmember or subframe forward of the control arms: A strong spot near the front center of the van that can be used if you're using a floor jack.
Would love to know your thoughts on this. What do you think of the Romik's over the Aries?

Hi Tom, I'm curious to hear what you think about the Romik running boards compared to the Aries ones. Did the suggestion to use a bottle jack like the Powerbuilt Unijack help address your concern about jacking up your Promaster? I'm asking because your experience could really help others in a similar situation.
