Do Aries Running Boards Mount in Locations for Jacks on a 2018 Ram ProMaster 3500?

Question:
While watching the installation video and looking at the installation instructions, I noticed that the front mounting bracket bolts to the van front lifting point. Once installed how are you supposed to lift or jack up the van? The standard ProMaster scissor jack top is shaped to snuggly fit into the jack lifting point and the mounting bolt protrudes down from that area. In your installation video your lift uses the tires to lift, yet the lifts used at Dodge/Ram dealers lifts from the lifting points so you can rotate the tires, also tire shops are supposed to lift using the lifting points so they dont damage the van underside. With this problem, are there other running boards that fit the ProMaster dont use the lift points to mount to the van? I own a 2018 Ram ProMaster 3500 extended, with the 159inch wheelbase and have had my van damaged twice by businesses that didnt use the correct lifting points.

Hey David, thanks for reaching out and providing all of the information!
I took a look at all of the running boards that fit your 2018 Ram ProMaster 3500, and they all look to mount in the same locations as the Aries RidgeStep Running Boards w/ Custom Installation Kit # AA2055539, so I definitely see your dilemma there.
When I checked the online owner's manual for your ProMaster I only saw the locations you reference for placing the jacks so it unfortunately looks like if you install any running boards that you would lose those locations. I recommend checking in with a dealer to see if they have any alternative locations you can use.
Would you be opposed to something more universal like the Carr Custom-Fit Side Steps # CARR105771 that use different mounting locations?

Jon G, Thank you for quick response and double checking what I had to say about the owner's manual. Mopar makes a running board that is the width of the sliding door that does not utilize the lifting point, Cargo Side Step - Mopar (82214884) 2015-2025 Ram - 82214884. The two biggest differences are that it is expensive, and it doesn't extend to the passenger side door. I do like the Aries RidgeStep running boards a lot better. David A
