What Size Bolts From etrailer Hitch Fit Weld Nuts on 2017 Kia Sorento

Question:
Good morning, folks! I am looking into purchasing a class III hitch for our 2017 Kia Sorento and wanted to know if you could tell me what thread pitch the bolts are that thread up into the rear frame rails. It is a rust belt vehicle, so I would like to chase the threads of those weld-nuts to make sure that they are useable prior to even purchasing a hitch. Thank you for your time.

Hey Robert! The bolts for the weld nuts that come with the etrailer # e98843 are M10 - 1.25 so you can use the corresponding tap. We do recommend trying to clean them first to see if that works before going this route but it is certainly up to you. I went ahead and attached a help article below which covers weld nut cleaning for your reference.
