Fit perfect. I installed it by myself though a 2nd person would have made it easier.
The item arrived quickly. The box had a few holes and the hitch itself had a few minor scuffs but I painted them before installing.
Installation was fairly straightforward. Took me about 4 hours working alone. The instructions were clear and accurate. It fits well and seems sturdy. I attached my cargo carrier but still need to give it a real road test.
i put this on a 2016 kia sorento. it came quickly and fit perfectly. i had to make some unexpected wiring changes to make the camper lights work. but the hitch has been flawless. FYI: sold the 2016 a few months ago for a 2018 kia v6. hoping the hitch on that works as well.......

i no longer have the camper that i used this for. but up until about 3 months ago, i used this hitch regularly. always reliable never gave me an issue.
Excellent fit and finish and mounted up to our Kia Sorento with ease. Very good installation video and instructions. Using for an electric bike rack so excited to try it out soon.

The best aftermarket accessory I have ever installed. Start to finish, my young son & I installed in 2-hours with him doing a lot of the work. Watch the video more than once, keep it handy. Forget the written instructions, why bother?
Toughest part was unhooking the muffler hangers; use the lube.
The plastic cover behind the wheel has 2 nuts. They stay attached to the cover so just pull the thing down after unsrewing them and the push-pins are out.
Had to persuade the large bolts through the holes, so the advice to clean & pre-fit all the bolts was great.
Clearance was a concern with a 4-bike folding rack, but the spacing is ample while not too excessive. The flat black finish hides the hitch under the bumper, won't notice it unless you're looking. [And be honest - you look, right?]
100% confident in the quality, design & security of the assembly.
OK, the box needs a few more reinforcement panels but the bolts were cleverly secured in the hitch so they didn't fall out and really, it's a trailer hitch that lives under the car, not a coffee table. So what?
This looks like a very well made product, but I wish I had known how heavy it is compared to other hitches. If I had a pickup I'd love to have this heavy of a product, but on an SUV, it adds a lot more weight
The site makes it easy to look for what you need specific to each vehicle. Shipping, was on time as they estimated it to be BUT when I received the item, there were three pretty decently sized tears in the box. I was very surprised as it was shipped UPS and I’ve never had issues like this. Upon calling to explain and speaking with William S who handled my order, we were able to come to a compromise as I didn’t have time to have a new one shipped. Very satisfied with my experience with this company, especially using them for the first time.
Install of the hitch took longer than I expected, but the wiring connector went very smoothly. Hitch has worked well. Time to retighten some bolts….
I've been very happy with the harness from etrailer it was used with my etrailer hitch to drive across the country to our new home and was flawless.
This is the second hitch that I have ordered from etrailer. I giving it a 5 star because it did fit. When I opened the box there were places that were wore down to the bare metal. I had some flat black spray that i used to cover the metal. I think it could packaged better. It should have in great big letters that all "BOLTS ARE NOTE SAME". I failed to see that the bolts were different dia. going through the frame. I got one stuck and cost me a lot of time. This is my fault! I couldn't get the rubber muffler hanger off the right side. After I removed the wheel it was easy. Steering is easier to turn, you can tell the weight has changed on the car. I might try to find some small rubber spring bumpers for the rear coils. Just like to feel the front wheels with more contact to the road. My last hitch looked good til I sold my car and hope this one is the same.

When your trailer hitch has paint that has flaked off, covering the bare spots with spray paint is a great idea and what we recommend. Ive attached an installation video of this hitch on a 2018 Sorento. Around the 5:55 mark our installer calls out to use the smaller size carriage bolts on the passenger side. Your tip of taking the tire off to get better access to the muffler hanger is also a great suggestion. Finally, I checked our fit guide and unfortunately we do not currently have any suspension enhancement designed to fit your 2017 Kia Sorento.

Everything lined up almost perfectly. The only problem I had was with some of the threaded holes on my car, they wouldn’t accept the nuts, I had to do multiple applications at WD-40 and a stainless steel reamer to finally get all the bolts to thread in. This thing is a beast!!

Hitch has worked with out any issues. Purchased a new travel trailer using a WDS. Also purchased Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional. Installed it and works great. If your tired of looking on line for towing accessories just go to etrailer. They haven’t let me down.
The trailer hitch is outstanding except for one problem. When you mount everything...you cannot access the bolt to lower the spare tire. You have to use a wrench because the hitch is in the way.

The product is great other than always having a 11mm wrench on hand to get the spare wheel off because the hitch is in the way of the rotating thing to lower than wheel.

Well made. The long bolts did not line up very well. Took a lot of effort to install the hitch. Still don't know why it was necessary to remove the rubber plugs.
Installed myself in about an hour. With the help of my floor jack it was very easy. Would have been easier with two people. Watched videos on installation. Very straight forward. Going to carry a luggage rack for musical equipment ( mic stands, music stands, sign rack ect.). Wish I took pictures of installation.

The hitch is very solid, and goes on quickly and easily. How easy depends on the tools you have at your disposal. I had a lift and other equipment to hold the hitch in place while securing it. Most of the time was spent just reattaching plastic nuts on the bottom of the KIA. You have to lower the spare tire on the KIA, as well as remove the plastic box on the left side, this allows you room to thread the side bolts and tighten them. I bought this hitch so I could use bike racks with a 2" receiver for maximum strength. I'm very happy with it.
Dad and son mounted it in about 2 hours. It is definitely what my Dad needed.
Used a local installer that was on etrailer site. The whole process was relatively inexpensive and super easy.
I bought this for my 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe (base model) to tow a light flatbed trailer and also to attach my bike rack to (see photo). This was an easy install. I recommend watching the video that etrailer has posted, and to get the tools recommended - especially the strap to hold the muffler up and the pry bar to get the muffler rubber mounts off. You'll also definitely need someone to help you because it's pretty heavy and cumbersome to to slide into place. I can tell the hitch receiver was built with quality materials and craftmanship. You'll need longer zip ties if you end up purchasing a wiring harness in order to strap down the long cables. Definitely worth buying.
I purchased this hitch based on the recommendation from etrailer's video comparison of all that are available for my 2019 Kia Sorento. I'm very impressed with the quality and fit. As per the installation video, which I watched before I placed my order, the end mounts needed spread apart approximately 3/4 of an inch. I chose to start the bolts on the driver's side and use a c-clamp to pull the passenger side in place. Total installation of hitch and wiring harness took just under 2 hours including cleanup afterwards. It might have gone a little quicker if I had gotten help getting it into position.
Excellent service! Delivered product on time and it was a perfect fit. I bought the Etrailer hitch after comparing it to the Curt Hitch. Its the same hitch except the Etrailer is flat black vs. the Curt which is gloss black. I like the Etrailer because it is much less noticeable when not in use. I'm completely satisfied with the hitch and the service i received. I added the plain plug for a smooth finish.
Quality product! The instructions were clear, accurate and complete with torque specs for the bolts. The installation video, that was shot on my exact car, told exactly what would have to be moved to install. The hitch is well engineered to fit over and under exhaust etc. and to line up perfectly with the bolt holes in my frame. With help to lift, it was installed in about a half hour. The textured finish looks great too. Great product, pro-active customer service, good price and prompt shipping. Highly recommend this company
I installed this hitch on my 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe. It was the easiest install I have ever done. All holes lined up perfectly. Printed out the directions and watched the video a couple of times and all went perfectly. Very solid. Will use for mounting a double bike rack and a cargo platform. Thank you etrailer!
Perfect fit for 2020 Santa Fe. Site videos were helpful with showing how to install. Definitely have a helper when it comes time to mount the hitch. It's next to impossible to do it by yourself.
