Question:

I have a 2018 Kia Soul with LED taillights. It appears that the wiring kit C56220 is what I would need. However, I am concerned that severaland/ older reviews point out that some of the wires are too short, requiring splicing in of additional wiring or having to place a module in a difficult to reach space and not being able to secure the module. Has this issue been addressed/corrected since those old reviews?

Hey Michael. I haven't heard any complaints or updates about the length of the wiring in the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C56220. We do have an alternative wiring harness that we've never had any issues with. It is the Tekonsha item # 118637 that installs in an identical way and has the same 4-way connector.

Both the Curt item # C56220 and the Tekonsha item # 118637 are confirmed to fit the 2018 Kia Soul with LED tail lights.

What size hitch are you needing and do you already have one?

Hey Michael, did you decide to go with the Tekonsha wiring harness for your Kia Soul, or did you stick with the Curt option? I'm curious to know how it worked out for you, as it could help others facing the same decision.

@JerredH I ended up going with the Tekonsha harness. I did have to place the module in a less than convenient place given the wire length. I had to adhere it with the double-sided tape to a flat area that was in a blind space. It worked, but would have been easier with another 12 inches of wire.
