Question:
I’m looking at the GRCS13XAHB ac unit. I can’t find anywhere that this comes preinstalled with the start capacitor. Can you please confirm this?

Hello Shane, thanks for reaching out. The GRCS13XAHB GE Appliances Deluxe RV AC part # GE54FR does not come with a soft start/start capacitor. To add one I recommend using the SoftStartRV Soft Start for Single Zone Air Conditioner Setup # SSR54FR. This will allow the unit to start up more gradually, so you don't get those big amp spikes.

Hey Shane, did you get a chance to install the SoftStartRV with your AC unit? I'm curious to know if it helped with the startup amp spikes. Your experience could really help others considering the same setup.
