AC Unit And Stabilizers For My Keystone 2700bh Cougar

Updated 05/19/2025 | Published 05/12/2025

Question:

I am looking to add a 2nd a/c to my keystone 2700bh cougar sport. The dealer suggested this unit FACR13HESA-BL. I can’t find this model on your site. This is the same brand as the main a/c unit. I am also looking to add the jt strong arm stabilizer kit to the same unit. I am thinking of adding the Timbren stabilizers to my 2019 f250 crew cab long bed. Looking for thoughts and feedback back. Thanks

Hey Matt,

Looks like you are going for some upgrades! We have just what you need.

Our inventory part number is different than the manufacturers. That unit that was recommended is actually our part # FR76PR, Furrion Chill 13,500 BTU AC unit. Now I know you are wanting to add a unit, are you wanting the new unit to tie into the existing system or stand alone? If you are able to send me the model of your original unit I can see if we have a replacement that will be able to tie into the existing system creating a multi zone system.

Those JT Strong Arm's are a great addition. The set you need is dependent on the distance between your landing gears. If you have 58" or more between the landing gear you will need # LC191023, if you have less than 58" go with # LC191024. A great addition and simple bolt on installation, just measure inside to inside between your landing gears and that will let you know which one to get.

For your 2019 F250, the Timbren option that we have are considered their severe service springs. I only recommend those for vehicles using an in bed camper, service body or vehicles that are loaded 24/7. For you, just towing your 5th wheel, I recommend SumoSprings instead, like part # SSR-129-47-2. These are going to be better for your 5th wheel towing offering a 5000lb weight capacity.

Let me know what you think of this set up for your truck and trailer.

Thanks for the response. A/c unit and strong arm kit are ordered. For the suspension upgrade what about ssr-127-54? I know the load capacity is less but it seems simpler than a two piece set up like the ssr-129-47-2. I the truck is 4x4, I tow a 5th wheel and a 14 k bumper hitch 26’ equipment trailer.

@Matt That is great to hear those parts are on their way! The # ssr-127-54 is another good option for your truck. You mentioned but they do have a lower capacity with a simpler installation. That one is going to be better for different size loads and trailers. They will work independently as springs and adjust to each load so that is a great option.
