What is Difference Between UWS Truck Bed Chests # UWS08298 and # UWS01044

Question:
Is the only difference between UWS08298 and UWS01044 the inside and outside dimensions? And of course the price? They both fit my 2025 3500 Silverado dually, right? I see the UWS08298 needs install kit Part Number: UWS08353, but UWS01044 needs a different install kit, right? What’s that part?

Hey Tod, the two UWS boxes have different shapes and capacities. If you check out the attached pictures you can see the differences between the part # UWS08298 and # UWS01044 to get a better idea. The # UWS01044 has a slightly smaller capacity at 8.2 cubic feet whereas the part # UWS08298 is larger at 8.85 cubic feet.
You can use the # UWS08353 for both boxes actually if you want but what a lot of people do is drill holes through the floor of the box and then the truck bed underneath it (pick a raised section of the corrugation to match the bottom of the box) and then run a bolt and nut behind it to secure it.

Putting mostly tools such as tire inflator, bottle jack, impact wrench, similar things. I have bakflip mx4 gen.3 tonneau cover and I need to make sure there is room to open lid on tool box.
