2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty Tonneau Cover Recommendation for 5th Wheel Hitch Clearance

Updated 09/29/2025 | Published 05/06/2025

Question:

looking for a new cover for our 2019 F250 69inch bed. we have a fifth wheel that we tow. I am looking at the E73DR flip cover. who makes this unit. what is important is the distance from the bed wall to the end of the cover when it is flipped. we do not want to cover the window as we drive. this model says it has a distance of less than 23, I cant be over 23 due to my handle on my hitch. are there other models that might be 23 or less? right now we have one that rolls up. also we live in florissant and can we pickup if you have in stock? thanks

Hey Keith, thanks for reaching out!

We actually created the etrailer Hard Tonneau Cover # e73DR in-house so it's our own product. When it's folded up it's sitting right about 24" so since you're needing 23" or less this cover won't work for you.

Since your concerns are about 5th wheel clearance and rear window visibility I recommend checking out the Pace Edwards Switchblade # PE46QJ. I know it's a bit pricier, but the canister one sits 9-3/4" deep and it's inside your truck bed so it takes care of both things you brought up.

We no longer have an on-site pickup, but I still have some helpful options for you on that front. We've recently launched a dealer/installer locator so if you click on that link down below you can input your zip code and see what shops are in your area that you can schedule to pic it up from, OR we don't have a video of the Pace Edwards installed on a 2019 Super Duty yet so you could reach out to our customer service team at 1-800-940-8924 and they can look into having our team install it for you directly!

How are you feeling about the Pace Edwards cover?
