Hey Steve,
Did you happen to check for power while the vehicle was running? While uncommon I have seen some vehicles with power only while the vehicle is running.
Usually if the 12v pin on your trailer connector is not getting any power it is due to a blown fuse. I would start with checking that fuse to see if it has in fact blown or missing.
I went ahead and took a look at your owners manual, it looks like there is a 30 amp pink fuse located in the F30 cavity that you will want to check. The fuse will be in the power distribution center which is in the engine compartment near the battery.
If this does not fix the issue please let me know and I can look into this more for you.

Hey Steve, did checking the fuse in the power distribution center solve the issue with the 12V pin on your Ram? I'm asking because it could help others facing a similar problem.
