Question:
I bought one of these hitches from you in June 2021. I removed the lock cylinders and they seem to be working ok. Used a screw driver to turn the inner workings. The pin that goes into the truck hitch moves fine but the pin for the ball mount wont move. Inside assy. only turns about a quarter turn and locks up. Is there a way to disassemble further? dont want to buy new hitch, you dont sell a 2 1/2in with stainless steel balls anymore. I need help please!!!

Hey Todd, thanks for reaching out and providing all of the details!
I reached out to my contact at Fastway about the Self-Locking, Adjustable 2-Ball Mount DTALBM6625-2S you purchase from us and he said that the inner parts that you described aren't replaceable, and you'll unfortunately need to replace the entire ball mount.
This exact ball mount isn't available anymore, but I do have an al alternative with the Weigh Safe 180 Hitch 2-Ball Mount for 2.5" Hitch # WS82CR that can be locked with the Lock Set # WS22KR. This gives you an aluminum ball mount with stainless steel hitch balls and a locking system that can be easily replaced in the future if the need arises.
I know this isn't the answer you were hoping for, but it's the best alternative I have for you. Let me know what you think about the Weigh Safe!
