Can Existing Wires Be Used to Connect SeeLeveL RV Holding Tank Monitoring System
Updated 04/23/2025 | Published 04/22/2025 >
Question:
I have the three bolt sensors in my tanks, can I reuse those wires to tie the sensors in and then take those wire off the old display and wire into the new display?

Hello again Stanley; as long as you have 18 gauge wire for the signal wire and ground for each sensor that will work. However, if the trailer is older it is probably a good idea to run new wire to avoid any issues down the road while you're working on it. I went ahead and attached a picture of the wiring and wiring chart from the # SE99VR instructions below. The full instructions are linked a little further down on this page for your reference.

Thank you Robin, my concern is I will not be able to pull new wire through everything, I have a Thor ACE 30.1 class A. What are the can-hi and can-lo wires for and would you tie all the ground wires on the sensor together and then tie them to the ground on at the wire connector then tie all the blue wire signal wires together on the new sensor's together and tie them to the tank senders?
