If your RV tank monitor readings change from 25% to empty in the blink of an eye, that's a problem. SeeLeveL sensors track 3 holding tanks with single-digit accuracy at the monitor. Can send readings to a primary control panel in multiplex RVs.

Note: SeeLeveL tank monitoring systems are not compatible with metal tanks.
Traditional tank monitors have a reputation for being unreliable. Only a few sensors are installed inside, meaning that they usually only measure in quarter increments and can send false readings if they get dirty. When you're keeping an eye on how much fresh water you have, the difference between 25% full and empty means a lot, and that inaccuracy can be a problem.
The SeeLeveL tank monitoring system uses technology that can sense fluid levels from the outside of the tank. The sensors' flexible circuit board sticks in place and measures along its entire height. This makes it accurate in single-digit increments.
Multiplex Compatible
This monitor is compatible with RV-C, multiplex wiring systems in RVs. This method of wiring allows multiple components in an RV to be operated by splicing them all into a single wire. This single wire usually connects to a central control panel, letting you control everything from lights, slides, and temperature from one place. This also simplifies the wiring process in RVs, since every component doesn't need to be individually wired to its own control panel.
With multiplex compatibility, this monitor can send accurate tank readings to a primary control panel. It will still work in RVs without multiplex wiring - just wire it normally. But if your RV doesn't have multiplex wiring, and you have no plans to get a multiplex system, then you can save your money and choose another SeeLeveL monitor without this capability.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com Today, we're gonna take a look at the SeeLevel RV Holding Tank Monitoring System for the fresh, the gray, and the Blackwater tanks and its multiplex compatible. So basically, if your RV tank monitor readings change from 25% to empty in the blink of an eye, that could be a problem. So this monitoring system here will track and display the levels of your RV's holding tanks at just the push of a button. Basically, this a hard wire to the SeeLevel sensors. It includes three 12 inch long sensors for the fresh, the gray, and the black water tanks and then you just push the button that you wanna see the level in. Now, basically, traditional tank monitors have a reputation for being unreliable 'cause what happens is they only use a few sensors installed inside the tanks, meaning that they'll usually only measure in quarter increments and can send false readings if they get dirty.
So basically, when you're keeping an eye on how much fresh water you have, the difference between 25% full and empty will mean a lot, and that inaccuracy could be a problem. These sensors here, these are designed to mount to the outside of your holding tanks rather than using interior probes, as we mentioned, includes three sensors and these sensors will prevent false readings that are caused by accumulating debris. They'll provide readings with single digit accuracy and what's nice about 'em, they can be trimmed or stacked with an additional sensor to match your tank size. One sensor can accommodate five inch up to 13 inch tall tanks. And if you have something taller, you can stack additional sensors to accommodate tanks all the way up to 25" tall.
Now the display monitor right here will also show your battery voltage just by pushing a button. It does prove or use diagnostic mode checks, which will check status and signal strength of the sensors, the air codes, that'll alert you of any issues and you just check the manual for suggested solutions. Now we also mentioned this is compatible with the RVC multiplex systems to display tank levels on your primary control panel. Also, you can use multiple monitors, so you can check the tank status from the service bay or inside your RV, and this is a very easy installation. Basically, what you'll do is just cut a hole or the recess mount of this monitor and on the sensors, if you notice they have the backing tape on 'em, you remove the backing tape and then attach these sensors onto the tanks and then you'll hardwire 'em together.
As you can see, it includes the pigtail wires for installation. At the very top of the sensor, right up here. These tabs are trimmed to indicate which tank it's on. And as we mentioned, the length of this sensor can be trimmed every 1 1/2." And it shows you with these lines where it can be trimmed to match the height of your tank. It does use the bus-wiring that'll let all the sensors splice together to one line.
And what's even nice is you can use your existing wiring from your old tank monitor system to use it for this installation. Again, this is for a three tank system for RVs and motor homes. The monitor itself width is 4" wide. Height is 2 3/4" tall, and the total depth is about 1 1/4" deep. One node I do wanna mention on this system is SeeLevel tank monitoring systems are not compatible with metal tanks. But that's gonna do it for a look at the SeeLevel RV holding tank monitoring system for fresh, gray and black water tanks, and it is multiplex compatible.
Grreat solution to tank reading
Awesome product!!! Now I can really see how full each of my tanks are!
Love it!
These sensors are so much better than the internal probes because they don’t get gunk on them. You can set the sensors on the outside and the positions that you want and it reads by percentage. I would definitely buy them again.
I still have not managed to install the sensors. The side walls of the gray and black tanks are stepped, making the installation of the sensor strips a bit more complicated (vs, tanks with vertical side walls). Also I'm a little hesitant about how to connect the wiring.
I think (hope) it will be great when I'm done, but the process is more complicated than I expected.
It is a Christmas present so I haven’t opened it yet.
Work great, seem to be accurate
We put the SeeLeveL system in our camper van about a year ago, and it has been a game changer for us. Before installing the system we only had a visual check on water level, by looking at part of the tank under the seat bench in the back of the van. It was inconvenient and because the tank is only semi-translucent, not always very accurate. The monitoring system remedied that. In addition, I can now monitor tank level while filling the tank by watching percent full from the back of the van... filling the tank used to be a two-person job. Finally, we have a 5 gallon gray water tank under the sink... we attached one of the sensors to the gray water tank, epoxied it for extra support, and wired the sensor to the system using flat electrical connectors so that it can be easily removed from the van for disposal of the gray water. It works like a charm, enabling us to monitor both fresh and gray water in the van. It was a simple installation, and I highly recommend the product.
Great product. They work very well.
Would purchase again.
Package arrived ahead of schedule - thanks.
We’ll have the see Level system installed by professionals.
All appears to be good.
Good
Follow through and was kept up to date on delivery. Satisfied
An excellent system! Simple reason: designed and Made in Canada! To date, "etrailer" was a great source for the various items required for our production line and we did not mind buying a Canadian product in the US. But obviously, in light of recent political events, this practice is no longer logical nor viable. Canadian RV folks and Vanlifers, take note. This item, and most of the others, are available in Canada.
Much easier to install than I expected. My fresh tank is surrounded by a metal shroud and required peeling half of the paper back and sneaking the sensor over the top, aligning the top to the sensor with the tank and pressing it in place through a wiring hole. then grabbing a corner of the paper and pulling it the rest of the way out. It sounds tricky but while the adhesive feels very secure it wasn't grabby. I could lightly lay an edge in place and still reposition. I don't think you could safely reposition if a large area stuck. The metal shroud is less than an inch from the sensor and it is working great, (many warnings in the instructions about keeping metal away, (These work on capacitance so a piece of metal can influence the sensor) The black and gray had to go on the ends because there wasn't room between the support rail the tanks hang from and the tank for the sensor to fit. You have to download instructions but really all you need to know is all of the sensor blue wires connect together with the blue line on the monitor and the black lines on the sensors can ground to the frame or I just wired them all together with the black ground on the monitor (and grounded that) And the red is 12 V positive. The white connects to the pump positive at the switch to light the monitor panel led. I have a 24V water pump and it didn't like it so I don't have the led. The switch is a SPDT so it can be wired with another 3 way switch to allow controlling the pump from two locations, or not.
